New BeerCampus Training Suite from ej4

Tuesday, 09 January 2007

Training and communication solutions provider ej4 (St. Louis, MO) has launched BeerCampus.com, a new e-learning training program that addresses the core business needs of beer distributors by improving retail execution of a beer distributor's workforce.

Like all ej4 training offerings, BeerCampus.com uses state-of-the-art digital technologies that integrate video in short segments to provide an effective distance-learning experience.
"The 'train the trainer' model of teaching managers and supervisors to, in turn, train their people no longer works," said Paul Russell, co-founder and partner at ej4. "You need to reach frontline personnel directly, and typical live classroom or satellite training keeps people out of the trade. Effective training changes behavior and produces measurable results -- and that's what BeerCampus.com delivers."

BeerCampus.com consists of more than 100 custom courses that train distributors to drive profitability through improved retail execution. Training modules cover sales skills, negotiation techniques, supervising and management, administration, OSHA and DOT regulations compliance, and expense reduction (including energy costs).

BeerCampus is designed specifically for beer distributors, and features courses founded on ej4's extensive experience in the beverage business. Most course segments last no longer than 10 minutes, and all feature the latest instructional design techniques and ej4's signature "TV weather person" format that uses 'live' presenters, combined with eye-catching content and graphics. This approach keeps learners engaged, maximizes retention, and can be deployed via a variety of media such the Web, route handhelds, and even mobile phones.

ej4 created BeerCampus.com based on the market success of the distributor training it developed for the beverage industry. Pepsi bottlers, for example, are currently using a custom ej4 campus and take more than 22,000 courses each month.
